If you have two loaves of bread sell one and buy flowers. For although the bread will nourish your body, the flowers will nourish your soul.

That's Just Ranunculus!

Every Wednesday there is a farmer's market in Belleville, Pennsylvania. There are all different kinds of stands, including produce, plants, food and fleas. It's about an hour and a half drive for us, but a pleasant one and so worth it. It's a largely Amish area and so enjoyable to see all the horses and buggies parked in a row.We went last week, taking my parents with us, and had such a nice day.  I bought these gorgeous ranunculus. I've never grown them so I have to do some learning.

New Look

Yes, it's still me. Just as I get tired of things always looking the same in my home and love to remodel, I was in the mood for a fresh new look for my blog. I just took this rose photo today and fell in love with it. Hope you like the changes.

Philly Flower Show

Monday I had the pleasure of attending the Philadelphia International Flower Show with two dear friends. What beauty! You could smell the hyacinths the minute you approached the entrance. The theme was Passport To the World and began with a hot air balloon totally covered with dried flowers. In general, I wasn't too happy with my photos, but a few aren't too bad.

Oh, if only I had a wooded path that looked like this one.

I was so tickled with my beautiful roses I bought there. I've been enjoying them so. The close-up shows the gorgeous coloration. (Don't forget you can click on the photos to get an even closer look.)

A Hint of Spring

I received an amaryllis bulb kit for Christmas from my sweet and lovely piano student, Samantha.  It bloomed some time within the last few days. What is it about having flowers in your home?  That little touch of beauty lifts your heart and brightens your day every time you look at it.  Thank you, Samantha!
